Most large platforms ask for a phone number at some point during sign-up. An account that has completed that step is called phone verified, often shortened to PVA.
Why platforms ask for a number
A phone number is harder to create in bulk than an email address. Platforms use it as a signal that a real person stands behind the account, and as a way to recover the login if the password is lost.
What changes after verification
- Fewer extra checks when you log in from a new device
- Access to features that are locked for unverified users, such as posting links or creating pages
- A recovery route if the account is ever locked
What verification does not do
Verification is a starting point, not a shield. An account that suddenly sends hundreds of messages or follows thousands of people can still be limited. How you use the account in its first days matters as much as how it was created.
If you are new to buying accounts, start with a small package, check the logins, and scale up once you are happy with the results.
